LILLINGTON Bowling Club were delighted to welcome newcomers to the sport for Bowls’ Big Weekend.
The event was well attended and was generously supported by club member coaches and volunteers.
And visitors enthusiastically threw themselves into the sport for the first time with pleasing results before enjoying light refreshments provided by the club.
Lillington were thrilled that many of the visitors were keen to return to the club’s Monday night coaching sessions to establish basic skills and develop further.
And the atmosphere was lifted by the arrival of the Malaysian Commonwealth Team who the club have hosted throughout May and made a gesture to the club to show their appreciation.
A condensed team will be returning for finals practice in early July.
