LILLINGTON Bowling Club hosted a fruitful Bowls Big Weekend open day as the club received 70 new membership registrations.
All age groups enjoyed an excellent day, which included families of three generations, as new players tried their arm at the sport on the club’s green.
And the atmosphere was enhanced by the fine weather and refreshments as the target challenges and taster sessions proved a success.
The club hopes the experience visitors received will spark an interest and encourage further participation in a wonderfully accessible sport.
Bowls’ Big Weekend gives the bowls community the great opportunity to come together and celebrate our great sport, with clubs opening their doors for new people to start their bowls journey.
