DANNY Quartermaine won the vacant IBF European super featherweight title with a fourth-round stoppage of Romanian challenger Alex Rat.
Quartermaine (11-0) forced Rat to retire in his corner at the end of the fourth round with the latter also deducted a point during the fight.
Leamington fighter Quartermaine cut Rat above his opponent’s right eye as he claimed his first title in the professional ranks.
