A CHARITY fishing match at Tunnel Barn Farm Fishery in Warwick raised £426 for charity.
The money was raised for the Mary Stevens Hospice a charity dedicated to providing care and support for individuals with terminal illnesses and their families.
Hosted by angling clubs Pole Position and Gods of Rods, the event took place under clear skies and perfect fishing conditions.
Some 23 anglers from both clubs came together for a day of friendly rivalry.
After six hours of fishing, the match finished in an intense 5-5 draw. A testament to the talent and sportsmanship on show throughout the match.
Organisers from both clubs expressed their delight with the success of the day and the funds raised for the Mary Stevens Hospice.
Both clubs intend to make the event an annual fixture on the calendar with hopes of increasing participation and donations in future years.
Looking ahead to 2025, organisers are inviting other clubs to join in the competition.
