COMPETITION: Win tickets to Warwick's richest raceday

HORSE RACING: WARWICK Racecourse is preparing for its richest raceday of the season on Saturday, January 13 – and the Observer has five pairs of tickets up for grabs.

Observer readers have a chance to win a pair of tickets to the Betfred Classic Chase Day at Warwick, which will offer a record £183,000 in prize money across the afternoon.

Seven races will take place during the day, highlighted by the £75,000 Betfred Classic Chase, the feature race of the afternoon.

The day will also feature a display of racing memorabilia in the Paddock Pavillion, near the parade ring, with a range of unique and special racing artefacts on display.

Racing personalities will also deliver a series of talks between races, including Chris Pitt, Britain’s most celebrated racing historian, as well as ex-jockeys Richard Linley, Nick Carlisle, Paul Barton and Peter Hobbs.

Gates open from 10.40am, with action underway at 12.40pm with The Betfred Novices Hurdle and closing with the The Betfred ‘Newcomers’ Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race at 4.05pm.

ITV Racing will broadcast four races live from the fixture at Warwick but we are giving you the chance to be at the racecourse for the feature meeting.
