CLAIRE Davidson was ice cool in breaking a course record at the Ilmington 10k last weekend.
In the fourth event of the 10k series, Spa Strider’s Davidson flew past the finish line in a brisk 45 minutes and 42 seconds to rank as the fastest-ever F35 runner in Ilmington and the fourth-fastest female, in spite of the freezing conditions.
It paved the way for Kevin Baskerville (53:54), Matt Leydon (54:27), Lorraine Parsons (1:01:06) and Georgie Acton (1:05:20) to complete the Striders line-up in the Cotswolds.
Elsewhere at the Wildest Peaks Trail Run in the Peak District, Anne Hurrell completed the 16-mile course in a respectable two hours, 51 minutes and two seconds.
