QUARRY Park, in Leamington, played host to a British Disc Golf Association (BDGA) Tour event.
Some 139 players from countries including Croatia, Slovenia, Germany, Denmark, Finland, Thailand and New Zealand took part in the competition.
Noah Smithson from Kenilworth won the main title on offer, the Mixed Pro Open, who earned £215 in prize money in the process.
Leamington’s Derek Robins was celebrating his ‘Golden Frisbeeversary’ which marked 50 years since his first firsbee experience.
Robins won the MP50 division, for players born in 1973 or earlier, despite being seven shots down after round one as he cut the deficit to four shots at the end of round two.
Still one shot behind with two holes to play, Robins showed his class to level the scores heading into the final hole.
And Robins was able to tap in a birdie at the last, after a superb drive left him three metres from the hole, to pip New Zealander Dom Hayden to top spot in the MP50 division.
