PERSONAL best times continued to tumble for Spa Striders’ runners up and down the land.
Ben Parkinson set a new personal best of 39:47 at the Chalgrove Festival 10km, whilst Jase Fredericks came 24th overall and set a new best time of 44:51 at the Draycote Water 10km.
At the Lichfield Half Marathon, Patrick James completed the course in 1:38:34 to finish 97th overall, whilst the quintet of Lloyd Harriman (45:13), Rob Egan (47:53), Nigel Fox (50:54), Zoe England (53:24) and Joseph McCullagh (61:44) took on the Kenilworth Mayday 10km last Bank Holiday Monday.
Liz Draper took on the challenge of her 64th Marathon at the weekend, completing the Hardmoors Wainstones Marathon, in a time of 6:42.04.
Elsewhere, Ellen Powell ran the Oxford Town and Gown 10km in 1:05:25, whilst Kelsey and Jim Wiberley completed the Velo Birmingham and Midlands in 6:32.
Ultra-marathoners Zoe Beale and Ash Hogg completed the Dukeries 40 in Nottinghamshire either side of the eight-hour mark, and Natalie Dellar finished the Milton Keynes Marathon in 4:45:06.
The Striders had seven teams representing the club at the Hilly 100 Relay Race in Stratford-upon-Avon, where the third men’s team – setting a team course personal best – the third women’s A team, and the third mixed team, took home trophies.
