SIMEON Cobourne scored a brace as Racing Club Warwick ended their three-game winless run in the league with a 3-0 victory at Godmanchester Rovers.
Cobourne’s double put the seal on an impressive victory after Charlie Jones opened the scoring early in the second half at Bearscroft Lane.
And the result means Warwick sit third in the United Counties League Premier Division South table, 11 points behind leaders Wellingborough Town with two games in-hand.
After the Racers spurned a number of first-half chances to take the lead, Jones broke the deadlock on 47 minutes with a composed finish from 10-yards out after excellent work from Kory Burke down the right.
And Warwick doubled their lead on 71 minutes as Cobourne finished past Rovers goalkeeper Nemanja Grubar at his near post following a neat one-two with James Hancocks.
The Racers sealed the points on 88 minutes when Cobourne finished into the bottom left corner from Louis Monaghan’s square pass.
Warwick are next in action away at Desborough Town on Tuesday, March 12 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the Waterworks Field.
