CAMERON Ebbutt scored either side of half time as Racing Club Warwick came from behind to beat Kidsgrove Athletic 2-1 in the FA Cup.
Ebbutt’s brace sealed Warwick’s place in FA Cup second round qualifying for the first time in 27 years at the Fitzjohn Stadium.
The draw for second round qualifying takes place at 1pm on Monday, September 1.
The Racers made the worst possible start as Kidsgrove broke the deadlock after just five minutes when Oliver Finney swept home a low ball in from the right.
However, the visitors equalised on the stroke of half time when Ebbutt curled a first time effort high into the net from Ryan Moore’s cutback.
And Scott Easterlow’s side completed the turnaround on 68 minutes as Ebbutt drilled a low effort into the net from the edge of the penalty area.
The Racers had to play the final eight minutes with 10-men after Ryan Andrews picked up a second yellow card for a late clash of heads with a Kidsgrove player.
However, Warwick held on to see off their fellow Step Four opponents and reach second round qualifying for the first time since the 1998/99 season.
Racing Club Warwick are next in action against Rugby Town on Saturday, September 6 with kick-off at 3pm at Butlin Road.
