LEAMINGTON have confirmed the departure of attacking midfielder Henry Landers after two seasons with the club.

Landers helped the Brakes win promotion to the National League North in 2023/24 and won the club’s manager’s player of the season award last term.

He departs the club after scoring 21 goals in 91 appearances in search of a move closer to his home in Oxford.

Holleran said: “With Henry being based in Oxford, playing in the National League North has meant an extra hour and a half travelling for him to get home after away games.

“He will be looking potentially for a Southern League Central club to reduce his travelling.

“We are disappointed to see him go, but understand his reasons and wish him all the best in his career going forward.

“He has been fantastic to work with, and he played a huge part in helping us win promotion last year, and in helping us consolidate last season.”

Landers added: “I just want to say thank you to the fans, staff and my team mates, who have made my two seasons with the Brakes so welcoming and easy.

“I have had some of the best times of my career at the club with the success of gaining promotion and then following it up with the record points tally for the club in the National League North.

“A massive thank you to the fans, because without them the club wouldn’t be where it is. I wish nothing but success for the club in the future.”
