LEAMINGTON advanced to the next round of the FA Cup with a 2-0 win against Coleshill Town courtesy of goals from Henry Landers and Cally Stewart.
The Brakes took the lead just before the hour mark when Landers finished well before setting up Stewart for the home side’s second goal at the Your Co-Op Community Stadium.
Victory means Leamington are in the hat for the second round qualifying draw which takes place at 1pm on Monday (August 4).
After a goalless first half, Leamington went in front on 57 minutes as Landers drove a low shot past Coleshill goalkeeper Paul Hathaway from Stewart’s delightful backheel.
And the Brakes doubled their lead on 63 minutes when Landers floated a perfect cross to the back post for Stewart to head home his third goal of the season.
Leamington are next in action away at Barwell on Saturday, September 9 with kick-off at 3pm at Kirkby Road.
