LEAMINGTON produced a second-half comeback to beat National League side Tamworth 2-1 in their final pre-season outing.

Goals from Owen Farmer and Ant Lynn helped the Brakes to victory after Oliver Lynch’s deflected strike put Tamworth ahead at the Your Co-Op Community Stadium.

Tamworth broke the deadlock on 29 minutes when Lynch’s first time shot deflected past Eddie Brearey in the Leamington net.

However, the Brakes drew level four minutes after half time as Ethan Hill slid the ball through to Farmer who held off his man and found the net.

And the home side completed the turnaround on 80 minutes when substitute Lynn won and converted a penalty.

Lynn intercepted a backpass only for Tamworth stopper Jaz Singh to foul the Leamington man as he attempted to take the ball around the Lambs goalkeeper.

Leamington begin their league campaign with a trip to Curzon Ashton on Saturday, August 9 with kick-off at 3pm at the Tameside Stadium.
