LEAMINGTON remain winless under recently-appointed boss Scott Easterlow following a 2-1 home defeat against Scarborough Athletic.

The Brakes took an early lead courtesy of Frank Tattum’s goal only for Richie Bennett to score a brace for the visitors after the break at the Your Co-op Community Stadium.

And the result means Leamington remain bottom of the National League North table, 19 points from safety, as Easterlow suffered a third straight defeat since his appointment as Brakes boss.

Defeat in midweek against King’s Lynn Town would confirm the club’s relegation with six matches left to play.

Leamington broke the deadlock after just 10 minutes when Adam Walker picked out Tattum in the box and the forward coolly found the bottom left corner from 12-yards out.

However, Scarborough drew level eight minutes after the break as substitute Bennett reversed a shot into the bottom right corner after Jack Waldron jinked his way into the penalty area.

And the visitors completed the turnaround two minutes from time when Stephen Walker played a low ball into the box from the right which Bennett finished first time from 10-yards out at the back post.

Leamington are next in action against King’s Lynn Town on Tuesday, March 24 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the Your Co-op Community Stadium.
