MIRO Pais scored a debut goal as Leamington started the new season with a 1-1 draw against Curzon Ashton.
Pais drew the Brakes level in the second half shortly after Brad Holmes had put the home side in front at Tameside Stadium.
The result means Leamington sit 15th in the National League North table.
After a goalless first half, the home side broke the deadlock on 64 minutes when Holmes finished from close range.
However, the Brakes equalised four minutes later as Pais drifted in from the right, drove into the penalty area and fired a shot across goal into the bottom left corner.
Leamington are next in action against South Shields on Saturday, August 16 with kick-off at 3pm at the Your Co-Op Community Stadium.
