LEAMINGTON have released a club statement following the abandonment of their home league game against Buxton in midweek.

The game was abandoned at half time, following a delay of more than an hour, due to an electrical fault at the Your Co-op Community Stadium.

Buxton led 1-0 at the time of the abandonment. The Brakes have since confirmed the floodlight issue has now been resolved.

Leamington have confirmed the replayed match will be a ‘pay what you want’ fixture with free car parking for supporters.

A club statement said: “Leamington FC would like to apologise for the electrical fault at Your Co-op Community Stadium last night during our National League North game against Buxton.

“This fault has been fixed.

“The board of directors have made the decision that the rescheduled game against the Bucks will be a ‘Pay What You Want’ fixture, with free car parking.

“Information on the date of the rearranged fixture will be communicated as soon as possible when confirmed with the National League.”
