LEAMINGTON dropped into the relegation zone after slipping to a 2-0 defeat away at King’s Lynn Town.

Goals from Gold Omotayo and Morgan Williams after the interval condemned the Brakes to defeat at The Walks.

The result means Leamington sit 22nd in the National League North table, one point from safety, with the Brakes winless in nine matches in all competitions.

After a goalless first period, Omotayo broke the deadlock on 57 minutes when he stuck out a leg to divert a flick-on from a corner into the roof of the net from close range at the back post.

And the home side sealed the points on 83 minutes when Omotayo selflessly squared the ball into the path of Williams who applied the finish.

Leamington are next in action against Marine on Saturday, November 8 with kick-off at 3pm at the Your Co-op Community Stadium.
