ANT Lynn scored a dramatic 95th-minute equaliser as 10-man Leamington snatched an unlikely point in a 1-1 draw at Oxford City.
The Brakes appeared to be heading for a fourth straight defeat in the league after Josh Ashby’s second-half goal put the home side ahead at the MGroup Stadium.
However, substitute Lynn popped up at the death to earn the visitors a point despite defender Rob Evans seeing red in first-half injury time.
And the result means Leamington sit 20th in the National League North table, three points clear of the relegation zone.
The Brakes lost Evans to a straight red card at the end of the first half when he pulled back Tom Scott with the Oxford man through on goal just outside the penalty area.
Oxford eventually broke the deadlock on 77 minutes when Ashby squeezed a shot through the legs of Rogan Ravenhill at his near post from close range.
However, the Brakes snatched a point at the death as Lynn forced the ball home following an almighty goalmouth scramble in the box.
Leamington are next in action against King’s Lynn Town on Tuesday, November 4 with kick-off at 7.45pm at The Walks.
