LEAMINGTON suffered a late collapse after conceding twice in the final 10 minutes to draw 2-2 away at Stamford.
Goals from Tyrone Barnett and Henry Landers looked to have put the game to bed only for Connor Bartle and Jack Duffy to level for Stamford with two goals in the space of seven minutes at the Zeeco Stadium.
And the result means Leamington sit eighth in the Southern League Premier Central table, three points outside of the play-off places.
The Brakes took the lead on 65 minutes when Barnett headed in Josh Quaynor’s superb cross from the left to leave Stamford goalkeeper Michael Duggan with no chance.
And the visitors doubled their lead five minutes later as Landers fired a low shot through Duggan from Adam Walker’s pass.
However, Stamford reduced the deficit on 81 minutes when substitute Bartle curled a stunning free-kick into the top corner from a central position.
And the home side drew level with two minutes left to play as Duffy connected with Bartle’s cross to complete a remarkable late comeback.
Leamington are next in action at home to Kettering Town on Tuesday, November 7 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the Your Co-Op Community Stadium.
