RAJ Palit scored directly from a corner as Leamington played out a 2-2 draw with Brackely Town in pre-season.
Palit drew the Brakes level in the second half after Owen Farmer’s early goal put Leamington into the lead at the Your Co-op Community Stadium.
Goals from Tahvon Campbell and Matt Lowe had turned the game on its head in the first half before Palit’s set-piece drew Leamington level.
Brackley suffered relegation from the National League last season and will play in the National League North in 2026/27.
However, the Brakes stunned the Step Two side after just five minutes when Farmer intercepted a loose pass and fired a low effort into the net.
The visitors equalised on 17 minutes as Campbell forced Charlie Cooper’s cross over the line to draw Andy Whing’s side level.
And Brackley completed the turnaround on 34 minutes when George Harmon delivered a dangerous cross into the box and Lowe sent a diving header into the net.
However, summer signing Palit equalised for the Brakes on 74 minutes with a goal directly from a corner.
Leamington continue their pre-season campaign against Coventry City under-21s on Friday, July 17 with kick-off at 7.30pm at the Your Co-op Community Stadium.
