LEAMINGTON put five past Bedworth United to advance to the quarter-finals of the Birmingham Senior Cup.

The Brakes proved too strong for the Northern Premier League Midlands side as Henry Landers scored twice with Dom Brown-Hill and Cally Stewart also on target in a 5-0 win at the Your Co-op Community Stadium.

Paul Holleran’s side broke the deadlock after just four minutes when Brown-Hill headed home Landers’ corner to score his first goal for the club.

And the home side doubled their lead five minutes later as Stewart slipped a shot through a number of Bedworth bodies and past United goalkeeper Nathan Davies.

The onslaught continued soon after when Landers rifled a half-volley into the net from the edge of the penalty area.

And the Brakes scored their fourth goal on 26 minutes when Landers headed home Jiah Medrano’s inch-perfect cross from the left via the aid of the post.

The home side completed the scoring on 71 minutes when Stewart glanced Medrano’s corner towards goal with the final touch coming off a Bedworth player.

Leamington are next in action at home to Alvechurch on Saturday, January 27 with kick-off at 3pm at the Your Co-Op Community Stadium.
