LEAMINGTON missed the chance to secure their first win of the season after playing out a goalless draw with Peterborough Sports.
Neither side could make the breakthrough at Lincoln Road with both teams yet to taste victory in the league this season.
The result means Leamington sit 21st in the National League North table.
Peterborough almost broke the deadlock after just three minutes when Dan Jarvis saw his header cleared off the line.
And the Brakes then saw a chance of their own cleared off the line at the other end courtesy of Demico Burton’s header from a corner.
Paul Holleran’s side had the ball in the back of the net moments later only for the referee to rule out Ewan Williams’ header for a foul on the goalkeeper.
The Brakes went close again after the break as Williams headed Will Shorrock’s free-kick over the crossbar.
Peterborough spurned another opening later in the half as Brakes goalkeeper Eddie Brearey blocked Jarvis’s ball across the face of goal.
Leamington are next in action against Radcliffe on Saturday, August 23 with kick-off at 3pm at the Your Co-Op Community Stadium.
