LEAMINGTON secured their first win of the season with a 3-1 home victory against Spennymoor Town.
A brace from Cally Stewart and a George Ward header ensured the Brakes picked up their first points of the season at the Your Co-Op Community Stadium.
The result means Leamington sit ninth in the National League North table after two matches.
Paul Holleran’s side broke the deadlock on 15 minutes when Stewart volleyed home Will Shorrock’s excellent free-kick from the left from close range.
However, Spennymoor drew level on 37 minutes as Isaac Fletcher fired a loose ball into the bottom right corner from 10-yards out after the Brakes failed to cut out a cross from the right.
The Brakes restored their lead on 61 minutes when Stewart fired home from the penalty spot after Spennymoor goalkeeper Brad James brought down Tim Berridge in the box.
And the home side sealed the points on 75 minutes as Ward marked his home debut with a goal as he rose highest to head in Rob Evans’ cross from the left.
Leamington are next in action against at home to Alfreton Town on Tuesday, August 20 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the Your Co-Op Community Stadium.
