LEAMINGTON saw their winless run in the league stretch to 13 matches following a 3-1 home defeat against AFC Telford United.

The Brakes led through Tim Berridge’s goal only for Dylan Allen-Hadley to draw the visitors before the break at the Your Co-op Community Stadium.

And second-half goals from Ammar Dyer and Rhys Hilton condemned Leamington to a sixth straight league defeat.

The result means the Brakes remain bottom of the National League North table, seven points from safety.

Leamington thought they had taken the lead just past the quarter-hour mark when debutant Frank Tattum met Berridge’s ball across the face of goal.

However, despite the ball appearing to cross the line before Telford cleared the shot to safety the officials remained unmoved and the game stayed goalless.

The visitors went close at the other end as Matty Stenson saw his effort hit the inside of the post and bounce to safety.

However, Leamington broke the deadlock on 25 minutes when Berridge volleyed Seb Thompson’s cross past Telford goalkeeper Josh Gracey.

Telford equalised 10 minutes later as Allen-Hadley fired a powerful low effort beyond the reach of Eddie Brearey from the left-hand side of the penalty area.

And the visitors completed the turnaround on 67 minutes when Dyer drove into the box and saw his deflected effort find the net.

The away side sealed the points in injury time as substitute Hilton completed the scoring to inflict another defeat on the Brakes.

Leamington are next in action against Rochdale in the FA Trophy on Saturday, December 13 with kick-off at 3pm at the Your Co-op Community Stadium.
