LEAMINGTON have confirmed the signing of midfielder Max Brogan on loan from Scunthorpe United.
Brogan made his debut for the club as a second-half substitute in Leamington’s 2-1 Birmingham Senior Cup win against Halesowen Town.
The 24-year-old becomes interim boss Chris Knott’s first signing as Brakes boss.
Brogan said: “I’m really looking forward to getting going.
“I’ve heard really good things about the lads, and everyone I know speaks really highly of the club.
“I’m a midfielder with lots of energy, I like to get on the ball, try and get up and down the pitch and chip in with a few goals, so hopefully I can do that while I am here.”
Knott added: “Dylan Mitchell’s loan has come to an end, but it does open the door for another body in the building.
“Max is someone that we’ve seen over the last few years.
“I spoke to Paul and he looked at him previously and wanted to try and sign him at some point.
“It’s just good that at this moment he wants to get game time.
“He carries the ball well, he’s aggressive as a midfield eight, which is something we’re missing at times if we’re going to try and score a few more goals, so hopefully he adds that to the team.”
Brogan joins on an initial 28-day loan and has previously played for the likes of Barwell, Tamworth and Solihull Moors.
He most recently enjoyed loan spells at AFC Telford United and Cleethorpes Town.
