LEAMINGTON slipped to a late 1-0 defeat against Darlington as the Brakes lost back-to-back games at home for the first time this season.

The Brakes saw their winless run stretch to six matches in all competitions as Jack Maskell’s late goal settled the game at the Your Co-Op Community Stadium.

And the result means Leamington sit 19th in the National League North table, two points clear of the relegation zone.

With the game heading for a goalless draw, Maskell slid the ball into the net from close range after the Brakes failed to deal with a long throw into the box from the left.

Leamington are next in action against Macclesfield on Tuesday, October 21 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the Your Co-Op Community Stadium.
