LEAMINGTON lost 2-1 away at league leaders Chorley to suffer back-to-back league defeats for the first time this season.
A brace from Danny Ormerod condemned the Brakes to defeat after Henry Landers briefly drew the visitors level at Victory Park.
The result means Leamington sit 13th in the National League North table, four points outside of the play-off places.
Chorley broke the deadlock on 22 minutes when Ormerod’s shot deflected past Brakes goalkeeper Callum Hawkins to put the league leaders ahead.
However, Landers equalised for Paul Holleran’s side on 34 minutes as he pounced to finish a rebound.
The home side reclaimed the lead in first-half injury time as Ormerod’s powerful low strike found the bottom corner from the edge of the penalty area.
Leamington are next in action against King’s Lynn Town in the FA Trophy on Saturday, November 16 with kick-off at 3pm at the Your Co-Op Community Stadium.
