LEAMINGTON suffered an agonising last gasp defeat against Kidderminster Harriers after securing their first win of the season against Radcliffe.
The Brakes produced a second-half comeback against Harriers at Aggborough as Ethan Hill levelled the game at the death after Owen Farmer had earlier reduced the deficit.
However, Ryley Reynolds scored a 98th-minute winner for the home side after Theo Streete’s own goal and Jordan Tunnicliffe’s strike put Harriers in command.
That came after the Brakes secured their first league win of the season with a 2-1 success against 10-man Radcliffe.
A brace from Ewan Williams sealed the points for Leamington with Bradley Roscoe on target for the visitors while Matt Sargent saw red for Radcliffe just past the hour mark.
The results mean Leamington sit 17th in the National League North table.
The Brakes fell behind against Kidderminster after 10 minutes when Streete turned Seb Thompson’s dangerous cross into his own net.
And Harriers doubled their lead on 56 minutes as Tunnicliffe forced the ball home from close range at a corner.
However, the Brakes halved the deficit on 67 minutes when Farmer curled a free-kick into the right corner of the net from 20-yards out.
And the visitors drew level five minutes into injury time as Hill scored his first goal for the club following a set-piece.
However, Kidderminster snatched the points three minutes later when substitute Reynolds headed in at a corner in a dramatic finale.
That came after Leamington picked up their first three points of the season against Radcliffe.
The Brakes broke the deadlock on 25 minutes when Williams saw his volley from a corner deflect through the legs of two players and into the net.
However, Radcliffe equalised one minute before half time as Roscoe flicked Jon Taylor’s free-kick from the left past debutant goalkeeper Will Brook at the near post.
And the visitors won a penalty early in the second half when Dan Meredith caught a stooping Callum McFadzean with his boot in the box.
However, Brook superbly kept out David Ball’s penalty, diving low to his right, to keep the scores level.
And Leamington reclaimed the lead on 59 minutes as Williams blasted home from close range after the ball deflected kindly into his path.
Radcliffe then had Sargent sent off two minutes later after he picked up a second yellow card for a foul on Williams as he attempted to break up the pitch.
Leamington are next in action against Chorley on Saturday, August 30 with kick-off at 3pm at the Your Co-Op Community Stadium.
