LEAMINGTON suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat against title-chasing Scunthorpe United as the Brakes saw their three-game winless run come to an end.
The game’s only goal came just past the hour mark as Callum Roberts fired home from the penalty spot at Glanford Park.
And the result means Leamington sit 13th in the National League North table.
After a goalless first period, the home side won a penalty on 61 minutes as the referee pointed to the spot following a tussle in the box between George Ward and Mark Beck.
And Roberts stepped up to score the resulting penalty despite Brakes goalkeeper Callum Hawkins diving the right way.
Leamington are next in action against Kidderminster Harriers on Tuesday, March 11 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the Your Co-Op Community Stadium.
