LEAMINGTON lost for the third game in a row without scoring after suffering a 2-0 defeat away at Peterborough Sports.

The Brakes fell behind to Michael Gyasi’s goal shortly after half time before Max Booth sealed the points for Peterborough late on at Lincoln Road.

And the result means Leamington sit 14th in the National League North table with four matches left to play.

After a goalless first period, Peterborough took the lead on 49 minutes when Gyasi drove a powerful effort into the bottom left corner from just outside the penalty area.

And Sports doubled their advantage eight minutes from time as substitute Booth poked a shot past Callum Hawkins after latching onto a long ball in-behind the Brakes defence.

Leamington are next in action against Radcliffe on Saturday, April 12 with kick-off at 3pm at the Your Co-Op Community Stadium.
