LEAMINGTON surrendered an early lead in a 2-1 defeat away at relegation-threatened Rushall Olympic.

An early goal from Dan Turner put the Brakes ahead only for Sam McLintock and Ben Wodskou to complete the turnaround for the home side before the break at Dales Lane.

The result means Leamington sit 17th in the National League North table, seven points clear of the relegation zone.

Paul Holleran’s side broke the deadlock after just seven minutes when Turner calmly finished past Paul White from Jack Edwards’ through ball.

Rushall equalised on 32 minutes as McLintock finished from close range with Brakes goalkeeper Callum Hawkins wrong-footed by Aaron Forde’s low cross from the right.

And the home side took the lead two minutes before half time when Wodskou curled a first time shot into the right corner of the goal from 12-yards out.

Leamington are next in action against Alfreton Town on Tuesday, January 28 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the Impact Arena.
