LEAMINGTON suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat against Hereford as the Brakes saw their three-match winning run at home come to an end.
A first-half goal from Tim Berridge put the Brakes ahead only for Remaye Campbell to draw the visitors level before the break from the penalty spot at the Your Co-Op Community Stadium.
And an own goal from Archie Crowther late in the second half condemned the Brakes to a third straight defeat in all competitions.
The result means Leamington sit 15th in the National League North table.
Paul Holleran’s side took the lead on 35 minutes when Berridge controlled Will Shorrock’s low ball in from the right and squeezed a shot past Hereford goalkeeper Theo Richardson.
The visitors equalised in first-half injury time as Campbell converted from the penalty spot after Ewan Williams fouled I-Lani Edwards in the box.
And Hereford completed the turnaround on 76 minutes when Crowther inadvertently turned Aaron Skinner’s driven cross into his own net.
Leamington are next in action against AFC Fylde on Tuesday, October 7 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Mill Farm.
