FOOTBALL - Leamington to play in Southern League Premier Central next season

LEAMINGTON will play in the Southern League Premier Central next season after the FA released the National League System club allocations for steps one to six.

The Brakes were relegated from the National League North last term which brought an end to the club’s six-year stay in the sixth tier of English football.

And it has now been confirmed that Paul Holleran’s side will play the 2023/24 campaign in the Southern League Premier Central.

Leamington can look forward to matches against the likes of Stratford Town, Nuneaton Borough, Alvechurch, Bromsgrove Sporting and Redditch United.

The Southern League Premier is made up of 22 teams with Leamington dropping down into the division along with AFC Telford United and Kettering Town.

They are joined by five promoted clubs AFC Sudbury, Berkhamsted, Halesowen Town, Long Eaton United and Stamford.

The rest of the league is made up of Barwell, Coalville Town, Hitchin Town, Leiston, Mickleover, Needham Market, Royston Town, St Ives Town and Stourbridge.

All leagues are subject to FA Council ratification.
