RACING Club Warwick beat AFC Wulfrunians 3-2 to advance in the Birmingham Senior Cup despite Ryan Andrews seeing red in the first half.
Early goals from Ashley Sammons and Tolani Omotola put the Racers in command inside the first 15 minutes at Townsend Meadow.
However, Midland Football League Premier Division side Wulfrunians halved the deficit two minutes later as Freddie Cockerell found the net.
And the home side then lost Andrews to a red card three minutes before the break to leave Warwick down a man for the entirety of the second period.
Substitute Max McNulty restored the Racers two-goal lead on 66 minutes from the penalty spot.
Wulfrunians threatened a late comeback as Cockerell scored his second of the game with a penalty in the final minutes as the home side held on to reach the third round of the competition.
Racing Club Warwick host Long Eaton United on Saturday, November 30 with kick-off at 3pm at Townsend Meadow.
