RACING Club Warwick began pre-season with a comfortable 2-0 win against Central Ajax as the Racers blooded several new players ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.
Goals from Cameron Ebbutt and Connor Mort sealed victory against the Midland Football League Division Three side at Townsend Meadow.
Ebbutt scored the opener from the penalty spot, after good work from Ryan Quinn to win the spot kick, before Mort doubled Warwick’s lead late on to wrap up the victory.
Racing will begin their league campaign on July 29 with fixtures set to come out this week while the club has also received a bye into the second round of the League Cup.
Warwick host AFC Telford United on Saturday, July 8 with kick-off at 3pm at Townsend Meadow before playing Rugby Town on Tuesday, July 11 at 7.45pm at the same venue.
The club entertain will then entertain Leamington in the Tony Horley Charity Cup on Saturday, July 15 at Townsend Meadow with kick-off at 3pm with all money raised from the fixture to go to Myton Hospice.
Entry for all of Racing’s pre-season games is just £2 with free admission for season ticket holders.
