RACING Club Warwick kept their play-off hopes alive with a convincing 4-1 victory against 10-man Coleshill Town.

Both James Harding and Archie Hamp scored twice for the Racers while Dan Brookes found the net for the visitors at Townsend Meadow.

And Coleshill played the majority of the second half with 10-men after Taylor Carter-Byrne saw red for picking up two yellow cards.

The result means Warwick sit sixth in the Northern Premier League Midlands table, just three points behind Coleshill who currently occupy the final play-off place.

Warwick broke the deadlock on 15 minutes when Harding headed in James Hancocks’ corner from the left at the near post from close range.

And Coleshill had Carter-Byrne sent off on 56 minutes after he received a second yellow card to leave the visitors down to 10-men.

The Racers made the most of the extra man on 67 minutes when Hamp nodded in Hancocks’ hanging cross from inside the six-yard box.

And the home side struck again three minutes later as Harding doubled his tally for the game when he turned in Hancocks’ ball from the left at the back post.

Coleshill reduced the deficit on 72 minutes when Brookes volleyed home from point-blank range after the Brakes coughed up possession deep inside their own half.

However, Warwick sealed the points five minutes later as Hamp scored his second of the game with a towering header as Hancocks provided his fourth assist of the match.

Racing Club Warwick are next in action against Loughborough Students on Saturday, April 18 with kick-off at 3pm at the Loughborough University Stadium.
