RACING Club Warwick bowed out of the Birmingham Senior Cup following a 2-1 defeat against higher-division Stourbridge.

A goal from Cameron Ebbutt drew the Racers level in the second half after Zidan Sutherland put the visitors ahead before Dom Lewis won the game for Stourbridge late on at Townsend Meadow.

After a goalless first period, Stourbridge broke the deadlock on 65 minutes when Sutherland drilled a shot into the net after the visitors caught Sam Lomax in possession.

However, the home side equalised on 76 minutes as Ebbutt’s corner from the left drifted over Stourbridge goalkeeper Charlie Price and directly into the net.

The visitors reclaimed the lead five minutes later when Lewis curled a shot past Lomax from 20-yards out via the aid of the post.

Racing Club Warwick are next in action against Boldmere St Michaels on Saturday, November 15 with kick-off at 3.03pm at the The Amber Arena and Community Stadium.

This weekend’s fixture will kick off three minutes after 3pm as part of the National League’s 3UP campaign.

The National League’s 3UP campaign aims to establish three promotion places into League Two from the fifth tier.

And the Northern Premier League are supporting the campaign in solidarity with the National League for a day of action this weekend.

Games across 15 divisions in the non-league pyramid will kick-off at the delayed time of 3.03pm.
