RACING Club Warwick came from behind to beat Lutterworth Town 2-1 and remain top of the United Counties League Premier Division South table.
Substitute Josh Beeson equalised for Warwick in the first half before Josh Parsons headed home the winner in the second period at Dunley Way.
And the result keeps Warwick top of the UCL Premier Division South table, one point clear of Wellingborough Town who have two games in-hand.
Lutterworth took the lead after just four minutes when Nuno Gomes’ volley took a huge deflection before nestling in the bottom right corner to leave Warwick goalkeeper Lewis Landers with no chance.
However, the Racers drew level on 33 minutes as Beeson stabbed the ball into the roof of the net from close range following a scramble in the six-yard box.
And Warwick completed the turnaround on 58 minutes when Parsons looped a header into the top-right corner of the goal from Callum Carsley’s cross.
Following the win the club provided a squad update with goalscorer Beeson a recent addition to the group after he returned from a scholarship in the United States of America.
The club have also added defender Syrus Warren-Paul to the squad on dual registration from Bromsgrove Sporting.
Both players have been with the club for the last month with Beeson Leamington under-23’s top scorer in the 2021/22 season while Warren-Paul made 33 appearances for Worcester Raiders last term.
And the club have also signed midfielder Josh Willis who joins the club from step four side Coleshill Town where he made more than 90 appearances.
Racing are next in action away at Godmanchester Rovers on Saturday, December 23 with kick-off at 2pm at Bearscroft Lane.
Warwick are offering free entry to all for their Boxing Day home clash against Coventry United with kick-off at 3pm on Tuesday, December 26 at Townsend Meadow.
