RACING Club Warwick have ‘thanked’ former boss Scott Easterlow after the Racers chief resigned from his role to become manager of Leamington.
Easterlow guided Warwick to two promotions and a Birmingham Senior Cup final in more than 300 games at the helm during two spells in charge at Townsend Meadow.
However, he has now resigned from his role to become manager of National League North strugglers Leamington who play two levels above the Racers.
A club statement said: “We can confirm that Scott Easterlow has resigned from his position as first team manager with immediate effect in order to take up the vacant manager’s role at Leamington.
“Assistant manager Callum Ingram and coach Gary Ingram will also be joining him at the Step Two club.
“Scott has had two spells as manager of the club.
“His first began in 2017 with the club competed in the Midland Football League Division One.
“In his first season he guided the side to a fifth place finish and a place in the Birmingham Midweek County Cup Final.
“The following season we finished second securing promotion to Step Five before he departed the club the following season.
“His second spell began in 2021, during which the club achieved 14th and 5th place finishes in the Midland Football League Premier Division.
“Following the club’s lateral move to the United Counties League for the 2023/24 season, he led the side to a play-off Final victory, securing the club’s promotion to Step Four for the first time in over 20 years, as well as guiding the team to a Birmingham Senior Cup Final appearance at Villa Park in the same season.
“Across his two spells in charge, Scott has managed more than 300 matches for the club.
“We would like to place on record our thanks to Scott for his hard work, dedication and achievements during his time at the club, and we wish him, Callum and Gary every success for the future.
“We can confirm that Jack Edwards will take charge of the team for Saturday’s home fixture against Wellingborough Town.”
The Leamington-born manager replaces interim boss Chris Knott in the Your Co-op Community Stadium dugout after the latter took charge of the side following Paul Holleran’s resignation on New Year’s Eve.
Easterlow leaves former club Warwick 11th in the Northern Premier League Midlands table.
