RACING Club Warwick slipped to a 2-1 defeat away at Anstey Nomads in their last away game before Christmas.
A goal from Tolani Omotola drew the Racers level in the first half after Jacob Fenton opened the scoring before James Tague won the game for Anstey just before the hour mark at Cropston Road.
The result means Warwick sit 11th in the Northern Premier League Midlands table, six points outside of the play-off places.
Anstey broke the deadlock on 25 minutes when Fenton somehow found the right corner of the goal from the left-hand side of the penalty area.
However, the Racers equalised on 36 minutes as Omotola pounced on a weak backwards header to lob the ball over Anstey goalkeeper Conrad Logan.
The home side reclaimed the lead on 57 minutes when Tague rolled a first time shot into the bottom right corner from Oscar Tonge’s cutback.
Racing Club Warwick are next in action against Boldmere St Michaels on Saturday, December 21 with kick-off at 3pm at Townsend Meadow.
