RACING Club Warwick saw their three-game winning run at home come to an end following a 2-1 defeat against Corby Town.

After Jack Keeble put Corby ahead, Connor Taylor drew the Racers level in first-half injury time at Townsend Meadow.

However, Rhys Kelly’s late goal earned the points for promotion hopefuls Corby.

And the result means the Racers sit 11th in the Northern Premier League Midlands table.

The visitors took the lead four minutes before half time as Keeble turned the ball home from close range after the Racers failed to deal with a corner from the right.

However, Warwick equalised moments before the break when Taylor acrobatically headed Harry Eden’s cross from the left into the bottom right corner.

Corby reclaimed the lead on 78 minutes when a goalbound volley hit the back of Kelly’s legs and deflected into the net.

Racing Club Warwick are next in action against AFC Rushden and Diamonds on Saturday, March 22 with kick-off at 3pm at Hayden Road.
