RACING Club Warwick saw their winless run stretch to four matches following a 1-1 draw against AFC Rushden and Diamonds.
Warwick broke the deadlock on 59 minutes when James Hancocks found the net only for Jordan O’Brien to draw the visitors level at Townsend Meadow.
The result means the Racers sit seventh in the Northern Premier League Midlands table, one point outside of the play-off places.
Warwick took the lead just before the hour mark when Ryan Moore cut the ball back from the right to Hancocks who fired a low first time effort into the bottom left corner from 15-yards out.
However, Rushden equalised on 72 minutes when O’Brien latched onto Bruno Andrade’s defence-splitting through ball and coolly finished past onrushing Warwick goalkeeper Tom Allsopp.
The Racers almost reclaimed the lead late on only for substitute Jack Edwards to see his back-post header saved by Rushden goalkeeper Dan Jezeph from close range.
Racing Club Warwick are next in action against Coventry Sphinx on Saturday, February 7 with kick-off at 3pm at the Cameron Slater Arena.
