RACING Club Warwick made a winning start to life under newly-appointed joint managers Jack Edwards and Chris Knott following a 2-1 victory against Wellingborough Town.
Goals from Aaron Opoku and Cameron Ebbutt secured a come-from-behind victory as the Racers began a new era in style at Townsend Meadow.
The result means Warwick sit 11th in the Northern Premier League Midlands table.
Warwick confirmed the appointment of Edwards and Knott as successors to former boss Scott Easterlow just hours before kick-off.
However, Wellingborough broke the deadlock on 24 minutes when Will Jones controlled a ball in the box and lashed a shot into the top-left corner from 15-yards out.
The Racers equalised in first-half injury time as Opoku pounced on a short backwards header to calmly finish into the bottom left corner past the onrushing Wellingborough goalkeeper.
And Warwick completed the turnaround after the break on 75 minutes when Archie Hamp flicked on Tom Allsopp’s long kick and Ebbutt guided a half-volley into the bottom right corner from the edge of the penalty area.
