RACING Club Warwick lost 1-0 against struggling Bourne Town as the Racers suffered back-to-back defeats in the league for the first time since September.
A second-half goal from Robbie Ellis condemned the Racers to defeat at Townsend Meadow.
And the result means Racing sit eighth in the Northern Premier League Midlands table, five points outside of the play-off places.
The Racers went close early on as Cameron Ebbutt lashed a shot narrowly over the crossbar in a crowded penalty area.
And Callum Coyle then saw his effort deflect agonisingly wide as the home side pushed for the opening goal.
Bourne responded with a chance of the other end as William Richard Bird bundled his way into the penalty area and shot wide from a tight angle.
Bird saw another effort blocked from close range before a goalmouth scramble ensued which ended with Sam Bayly lashing an effort wide.
The chances continued to flow at both ends as Tom Allsopp held Connor Furey’s effort while Coyle saw his volley pushed behind by Will Lakin.
However, Bourne eventually broke the deadlock on 72 minutes when Ellis lashed a shot high into the net from 20-yards out.
Racing Club Warwick are next in action against Bedworth United on Saturday, December 20 with kick-off at 3pm at The Oval.
