RACING Club Warwick lost at home in the league for the first time this season following a 2-0 defeat against Quorn.
The Racers fell behind to Paddy Webb’s goal in first-half injury time before Courey Grantham sealed the points for the visitors late on at Townsend Meadow.
And the result means Warwick sit 14th in the Northern Premier League Midlands table.
The teams traded early chances before Quorn goalkeeper Tom Allsopp made a stunning fingertip save to deny Louis Monaghan the opening goal.
However, despite dominating the first-half chances, Warwick fell behind on the stroke of half time when Webb finished through the legs of Sam Lomax following a quick break.
The Racers looked to respond after the break as substitute Connor Taylor saw his goalbound effort deflect behind for a corner.
Racing keeper Lomax made a smart save at the other end to push Silvio Bello’s low effort to safety.
The visitors secured the points on 88 minutes when Grantham received the ball in the box and took the ball past Lomax before finishing into an empty net.
Racing Club Warwick are next in action against Hanley Town in the FA Trophy on Saturday, September 7 with kick-off at 3pm at Townsend Meadow.
