RACING Club Warwick saw their four-game unbeaten run come to an end following a narrow 1-0 defeat away at AFC Rushden and Diamonds.
A late goal from Tyler Winters settled the game at Hayden Road while the visitors had Jack Edwards sent off at the death.
The result means Warwick sit 15th in the Northern Premier League Midlands table, two points clear of the relegation zone.
After a goalless first half, Rushden eventually broke the deadlock on 74 minutes when the Racers failed to deal with Jeremy Kyezu’s dangerous cross into the box from the left and Winters turned home the loose ball from close range.
And the game ended on a sour note for the Racers as substitute Edwards received a straight red card seven minutes into injury time just 12 minutes after he entered the fray.
Racing Club Warwick are next in action against Lichfield City on Wednesday, October 15 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the Trade Tyre Community Stadium.
