JAMES Harding scored a brace as Racing Club Warwick twice surrendered the lead in a 2-2 draw at Lichfield City.

Harding put the Racers ahead twice in the first half only for James Wilcock and John Mills to twice peg Warwick back at the Trade Tyre Community Stadium.

And the result means Warwick sit 16th in the Northern Premier League Midlands table, two points clear of the relegation zone.

The Racers broke the deadlock after just five minutes when Harding turned the ball home at the second attempt after Brendon Bunn could only parry Archie Hamp’s initial effort.

However, Lichfield equalised on 32 minutes as Wilcock scored from the penalty spot after Ryan Moore committed a foul in the box.

Harding doubled his tally for the game on 39 minutes as he blasted Aaron Opoku’s low cross from the left into the roof of the net from close range.

However, the home side drew level for a second time three minutes later when Mills’s shot from the edge of the penalty area took a wicked deflection and looped into the net.

Racing Club Warwick are next in action against Corby Town on Saturday, October 18 with kick-off at 3pm at Townsend Meadow.
