RACING Club Warwick secured a third win in four away matches after coasting to a 2-0 victory at Tividale.

Goals in either half from Josh Parsons and Danny Murphy sealed the points for the Racers at the Beeches.

The result means Warwick sit 14th in the Midland Football League Premier Division table, 11 points clear of the relegation zone.

Racing were without Ricardo Dudley, Romario Martin, Connor Mort and Costalus Lautaru with Reggie Rogers called up for his first team debut, the fourth under-23 player to make the step up this season.

Warwick started well when Dylan Parker almost opened the scoring only for the ball to get caught under his feet as his shot was smothered by the Tividale goalkeeper.

And Racing keeper Dan Crane then made two saves low down from long range efforts to keep the score level.

The visitors spurned a host of chances as Toby Scott’s free-kick went narrowly wide before two efforts from Parsons also went close with Murphy’s rasping shot finding the side netting.

Racing eventually broke the deadlock on 39 minutes when Parsons side footed home from close range after Murphy flicked on Josh Steele’s throw-in.

And Warwick sealed the points on 71 minutes when Parsons superb long pass sent Murphy away as he beat two men before producing a clever finish with the outside of his foot.

The Racers are next in action at home to AFC Wulfrunians on Saturday, April 2 with kick-off at 3pm at Townsend Meadow.
