EWAN Williams scored a brace as Leamington eased to a comfortable 3-0 victory against struggling Farsley Celtic.
Williams struck twice in the first half-hour before Henry Landers completed the scoring late on at the Your Co-op Community Stadium.
The result means Leamington sit 14th in the National League North table.
An unexpected downpour before kick-off threatened to put pay to the fixture as a number of volunteers helped drain water from the pitch to ensure the game went ahead as scheduled.
Williams broke the deadlock after just six minutes when he volleyed home from six-yards out after Will Brook superbly kept out George Ward’s initial header at the back post following a corner.
And the home side doubled their lead on the half-hour mark as Williams headed Landers’ corner from the left into the net from inside the six-yard box.
The Brakes made sure of the points on 78 minutes when Landers fired a shot underneath Brook from 10-yards out from Tim Berridge’s ball across the box.
Leamington are next in action against Buxton on Tuesday, February 18 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the Your Co-Op Community Stadium.
