ROYAL Leamington Spa Cycling Club rider Frances Lammyman earned a fifth-place finish in the 15th round of the Corley Cycles Summer Series in Milton Keynes.
The event was reduced to a half-hour race followed by three laps due to the sweltering conditions, Lammyman started cautiously in a bid to conserve energy. She then avoided a crash approaching the halfway mark, but was forced to expend energy catch up after going wide off the track.
Maintaining her drive for the line, Lammyman took fifth place in a sprint finish, giving her the necessary points to earn a category three licence.
